This is pretty much how I’ll be looking/feeling over the next several weeks … photos courtesy of my husband and a visiting hummingbird.

  1. You know I love this, Marie! I’m going to miss these little guys, when the weather turns and they migrate. Yesterday evening, we sat out back and watched at least 12 hummies battling over the feeders. They’re amazing creatures.

    1. One of the things I love about hummingbirds is hearing them first. Usually my back is to the feeder so I’ll hear a low buzzing sound and I know it’s a hummer 😉 We went for a number of years without any hummers coming around. Don’t know why, but it made us sad. We’ve had two in the last couple of weeks and they’ve been quite entertaining.

      1. Yeah, my family had an outdoor screen room for playing, and one morning we found a hummingbird trapped inside. I had to catch it to release it, but it just sat in my hand for about 30 seconds. It was amazing. 🙂
